LOCUSTS

St. Louis has given me an awesome goodbye present the past few days with the arrival of the 13 year LOCUSTS. Really, they're as great as they sound. Every 13 years, they climb out of the ground, mate, lay eggs, and then fall into the ground and do it all over again in 13 years. They've covered our entire neighborhood. The ancient Egyptians had nothing on us!

Yeah, those are locusts.

  1. You should have been in Downers Grove for the 17 year locusts a few years back. It's the weird pulsating sound that makes you feel like the world is being over-taken by aliens!
